Hi all,

So this song seems to be about The Eagles talking about society.

Too many people crying and complaining about everything. The Eagles are saying “Get over it.”

Also, the line, “Kill all the lawyers”, could have come from, Shakespeare, who is referred to as “Old Billy” (William = Bill = Billy) and the lawyer line is from Henry VI, Part 2. The line is:

CADE: …There shall be no money. All shall eat and drink on my score, and I will apparel them all in one livery that they may agree like brothers and worship me, their lord.
DICK THE BUTCHER: The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.

Some people can accidentally slide into the notion of always being negative and yes they should sometimes get over it, however there are instances where humans need time and compassion to heal the hard times in their life.

Thanks for reading,

Luke
