Why Are You Blaming Me? by Lindsey Leigh song meanings, music video interpretations, comments and interesting facts can be found out below.
Song Lyrics
I was just fine living life for you
Settling down despite all I had to give
Against the world it was just us two
Got us a place where we both could live
But some people change
What happened to you I'll never know
Left me so vulnerable
Why are you blaming me?
When you played all these games and you caused all this pain and you
tell me you want to be free
Tell me, why are you blaming me?
Found out the truth behind all your lies,
but you point the finger at everyone else but you
You can't accept responsibility
like there was no other way but to choose to kick me while I was down
I'm trying to pick myself up off the ground
And I just want to know...
Why are you blaming me?
When you played all those games and you caused all this pain and you
tell me you want to be free
tell me, why are you blaming me?
I made you into a better man,
Got you out of the rut you were in,
Gave you love unconditionally,
Now you're taking those good qualities and using them towards someone
else
Yet I'm the one to blame
Ain't that a shame!
Why are you blaming me?
When you played all those games and you caused all this pain and you
tell me you want to be free
tell me, why are you blaming me?
Song Comment #1
In an interview, Lindsey said that she wrote this song in about 20 minutes after dealing with the aftermath of being cheated on by her now ex boyfriend, and he was blaming her for all of his mistakes that he couldn’t own up to, trying to make himself seem less guilty.
